The situation

clear_pixel VR is a growing VR technology company whose leadership team needed strategic guidance on IT expansion, cybersecurity, and technology direction. The CEO and CTO had strong domain expertise but wanted an experienced external perspective on how to scale the technology function securely and sustainably.

What we did

ScaleAround provided executive advisory support covering three areas.

First, strategic guidance on IT expansion — helping the leadership team plan how the technology infrastructure and team would need to evolve as the business grew, ensuring decisions made now would not create problems at scale.

Second, cybersecurity enforcement — reviewing the company’s security posture and helping implement practices that would protect the business and its clients as operations expanded, including more secure development cycles and robust systems.

Third, 1-2-1 CTO mentorship — working directly with the CTO to develop their leadership capability, with a focus on effective knowledge transfer so that the improvements were embedded in the team rather than dependent on ScaleAround.
